This boreal forest window art puts it at eye level instead: mushrooms standing on long pale stems, lichen and moss along the bottom of every pane, all gathered within walking distance of my own door and dried through the season to hold their colour.

This boreal forest window art belongs to the mushrooms. They rise through all four panes on stems thin enough to see light through, with ferns standing behind them.

The panes are poured in two layers rather than one. The lower layer carries the forest floor, the mushrooms and lichen and small stones, and the upper layer carries the ferns and stems standing above it, so the botanicals sit at different depths and the piece has real dimension when you look into it. Behind them, a holographic floral pattern is set into the resin itself and shifts as you move past.

🍄 Foraged forest mushrooms on long pale stems through every pane
🌿 Hand gathered ferns, yarrow and wild grasses
💜 Pretty accent botanicals between the stems
✨ A dragonfly resting against the fern in the upper left
🪟 Four panes in a whitewashed wood frame, 15" H x 11" W
💛 One of a kind

Features:

The mushroom window: Where the earlier windows led with flowers, this boreal forest window art leads with fungi, standing tall through every pane rather than tucked along the floor

Foraged by hand: Every botanical was gathered on my own forested property near Cold Lake and dried through the season, so nothing in it was bought in

Two layer pour: The forest floor sits below and the stems stand above it, which gives each pane real depth rather than a flat surface

Holographic backing: A floral pattern set into the resin itself, so it shifts and catches light as you move past the piece

This boreal forest window art suits anyone who walks the trails and wants to keep a piece of that underfoot world indoors through the winter. It hangs well in an entryway, above a desk, in a reading corner, or anywhere daylight reaches it. Hang it near a window and the light carries right through the panes, which is when the holographic pattern shows best.
