Swallowtail Garden Window | Pressed Flower Window Art

A swallowtail passes once and is gone. This pressed flower window art keeps one, wings open in the upper left pane of a white wood window frame, among pansies, buttercups, forget me nots and wild grasses gathered through the summer and dried at full colour.

There are two creatures in this one rather than one. The swallowtail holds the upper left and an ethically sourced dragonfly rests in the lower right with its wings spread over the flowers, so this pressed flower window art gives you something different depending on which pane your eye lands in first.

Behind every pane sits a holographic pattern that catches the light and shifts through soft colour as you move past it. It is what keeps the window from reading as a flat picture, and it means the piece never looks quite the same twice.

✨ A dragonfly resting among the blooms in the lower right
🌼 Real pressed pansies, buttercups, daisies and forget me nots
🌈 A holographic backing that shifts colour as the light moves
🪟 Four panes in a white distressed wood frame, 16" H x 11" W
💛 One of a kind, the exact window shown is the one that ships

Features:

• A swallowtail and a dragonfly: Both ethically sourced, set in opposite corners so the eye travels across all four panes rather than stopping at one
• Real pressed botanicals: Pansies and violas, golden buttercups, yellow daisies, blue forget me nots, larkspur, baby's breath and wild grasses, all dried at full colour
• Holographic backing: A pattern worked in behind the petals that shifts through soft colour as you move, so this pressed flower window art changes with the light through the day
• Four individual pours: Each pane is its own small garden scene, poured separately in clear resin rather than as one sheet
• Farmhouse frame: Soft white distressed wood, 16" H x 11" W with a half inch depth, so it suits a painted wall without competing with it

Hang this pressed flower window art where daylight or a lamp can reach it and the backing does the rest, glowing behind the petals and changing as the light changes. It suits an entryway, a hallway, a bedroom, or any wall that could use a garden in the middle of a Canadian winter, and it makes a lasting gift for gardeners, for anyone marking a new home, or for someone who misses summer by February. Keep it out of direct all day sun to hold the flower colours true, and dust the frame with a soft dry cloth.

This window was pressed and poured once and cannot be made again. The swallowtail, the dragonfly and every flower in it were set by hand in an arrangement that will not be repeated. The exact piece in these photographs is the one that will arrive at your door.
