I received two resin birds with blue flowers and two keychains with forget-me-not flowers, and they are absolutely beautiful! The craftsmanship is stunning — even more lovely in person. The seller was an absolute delight to deal with: helpful, professional, and kind. My items arrived quickly and were packaged with such care. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

Boreal Window No. 4 | Boreal Forest Window Art with Foraged Mushrooms

A forest floor of mushrooms, last of four boreal windows

$175.00 CAD Épuisé

Malheureusement, cet article est épuisé !

The forest floor is the part most people walk straight over. This boreal forest window art puts it at eye level instead: mushrooms standing on long pale stems, lichen and moss along the bottom of every pane, all gathered within walking distance of my own door and dried through the season to hold their colour.

This boreal forest window art belongs to the mushrooms. They rise through all four panes on stems thin enough to see light through, with ferns standing behind them.

The panes are poured in two layers rather than one. The lower layer carries the forest floor, the mushrooms and lichen and small stones, and the upper layer carries the ferns and stems standing above it, so the botanicals sit at different depths and the piece has real dimension when you look into it. Behind them, a holographic floral pattern is set into the resin itself and shifts as you move past.

🍄 Foraged forest mushrooms on long pale stems through every pane
🌿 Hand gathered ferns, yarrow and wild grasses
💜 Pretty accent botanicals between the stems
✨ A dragonfly resting against the fern in the upper left
🪟 Four panes in a whitewashed wood frame, 15" H x 11" W
💛 One of a kind

Features:

  • The mushroom window: Where the earlier windows led with flowers, this boreal forest window art leads with fungi, standing tall through every pane rather than tucked along the floor
  • Foraged by hand: Every botanical was gathered on my own forested property near Cold Lake and dried through the season, so nothing in it was bought in
  • Two layer pour: The forest floor sits below and the stems stand above it, which gives each pane real depth rather than a flat surface
  • Holographic backing: A floral pattern set into the resin itself, so it shifts and catches light as you move past the piece

This boreal forest window art suits anyone who walks the trails and wants to keep a piece of that underfoot world indoors through the winter. It hangs well in an entryway, above a desk, in a reading corner, or anywhere daylight reaches it. Hang it near a window and the light carries right through the panes, which is when the holographic pattern shows best. Keep it out of direct all day sun, which fades any preserved botanical over time, and dust it with a soft dry cloth.

This window was foraged and poured once and cannot be made again. The mushrooms that went into it came up after one particular rain and the flowers beside them are gone. The exact piece in these photographs is the one that will arrive at your door.

Naturally Brilliant Clarity

Premium Calgary-Made Resin

We use high-performance Nerpa resin, proudly made in Calgary, Alberta. This premium, UV-resistant material cures to a natural, high-gloss finish that mimics the look of solid glass. It ensures your botanicals remain vibrant and crystal clear without the need for artificial polishes.

One-of-a-Kind & Gift-Ready

When you choose a Dragonfly Treasures creation, you are supporting independent Canadian art. Each piece arrives in our signature eco-friendly packaging, ready to be gifted as a one-of-a-kind tribute to the forest. It’s more than decor; it’s a lasting connection to the timeless beauty of the wild.

In Case You Were Wondering..

Yes, absolutely. We never use plastic or silk substitutes. Every piece features genuine botanicals, mosses, and forest treasures hand-foraged from the Alberta Boreal forest, ensuring you are bringing a real piece of the wild into your home.

These pieces look most magical when they catch the light! A windowsill, mantel, or bookshelf is perfect. While our resin is high-quality and UV-resistant, we recommend avoiding 24/7 direct, intense sunlight to keep the natural botanical colors vibrant for as long as possible.

Maintenance is simple. To remove dust or fingerprints and restore that crystal-clear, glass-like glow, simply wipe the surface with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that might dull the polished finish.

Our resin is designed to be sturdy and heat-resistant once fully cured, making it suitable for tea lights or warm mugs. However, to preserve the clarity of the piece, we recommend avoiding contact with open high-heat flames or boiling pots directly from the stove.

We use professional-grade, Calgary-made resin specifically formulated for its high UV resistance. Unlike lower-quality resins that can yellow quickly, our art-grade resin is designed to stay crystal-clear for years. To keep your piece looking its absolute best, we simply recommend keeping it away from windows with constant, intense direct sun—just as you would with a fine painting or photograph.

One of the best features of resin is its incredible durability—it is much stronger and more impact-resistant than glass or ceramic. While it should be treated with the care of any fine art, it isn’t fragile and won't shatter easily if bumped. We take great care in nesting your decor in protective, eco-friendly packaging so it arrives safely and ready to be enjoyed for a lifetime.
