What can I use the Forest Floor mushroom trinket dish for?

The raised wooden rim can hold rings, earrings, a stray key, or a few other small things. The dish is decorative first and is not meant for setting drinks on.

Are the mushrooms and botanicals real, and do they lie flat?

The Forest Floor dish features real foraged mushrooms, pressed wildflowers, ferns, moss, and pale reindeer lichen set in clear resin. The mushrooms stand up out of the resin, giving the scene depth you can view from above and from the side.

How large is the Forest Floor trinket dish?

Each round natural wood dish measures 4 inches across and has a raised rim. Its compact size suits a shelf, windowsill, desk, or bedside table.

Will the Forest Floor dish I receive look exactly like the one pictured?

Each dish is made by hand with foraged botanicals, so no two designs repeat. There are eight designs, one of each, and the dish shown for the selected design is the one you will receive.

How should I care for the Forest Floor mushroom dish?

Keep it out of direct all-day sun, which can fade preserved botanicals over time. Wipe the wood with a dry, soft cloth.

What makes this mushroom trinket dish different from a regular resin dish?

Real foraged mushrooms stand up above the clear resin instead of lying flat beneath it, giving the forest-floor scene depth you can see from the side and feel under your fingers. Pressed wildflowers, ferns and moss complete the design.

Can I use the mushroom trinket dish as a coaster?

No. This mushroom trinket dish is designed as a decorative piece, not for setting drinks on. Its raised mushrooms are meant to remain visible and standing above the resin.

What can I keep in this dish, and how large is it?

The raised wooden rim can hold rings, earrings or a few small items such as a stray key. The round dish measures 4 inches across and is just under half an inch thick (10 mm).

Are all eight mushroom trinket dish designs the same?

No. There are eight designs, with only one of each, and every dish is different. The mushrooms, ferns and flowers are foraged on the maker’s forested property near Cold Lake and dried through the season; the design shown is the one you will receive.

How should I care for this botanical dish?

Keep the mushroom trinket dish out of direct all-day sun, which can fade preserved botanicals over time. Wipe the wooden rim with a dry, soft cloth.

I received two resin birds with blue flowers and two keychains with forget-me-not flowers, and they are absolutely beautiful! The craftsmanship is stunning — even more lovely in person. The seller was an absolute delight to deal with: helpful, professional, and kind. My items arrived quickly and were packaged with such care. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

This mushroom trinket dish holds a piece of the boreal forest floor inside a round wooden dish, poured by hand in clear resin in Cold Lake, Alberta. Real foraged mushrooms, pressed wildflowers, ferns and moss are set into the resin, with a dragonfly or a gold bee resting above the scene.

The mushrooms stand up out of the resin rather than lying flat under it. You can feel them under your fingers, and the scene has depth you can look into from the side. That is deliberate, and it is why this is a decorative piece first. It is not meant for setting drinks on.

The wooden rim is raised, so it will hold rings, earrings or a few small things on a dresser or by the sink. Most people set it on a shelf, a windowsill or a bedside table and leave it as it is.

Eight designs, one of each. Every mushroom and flower was foraged on my own forested property near Cold Lake and dried through the season, so no two dishes repeat.

Features:

• Foraged by hand: every mushroom, fern and flower was gathered on my own forested property near Cold Lake and dried through the season
• Raised, not pressed flat: the mushrooms stand up out of the resin, so the scene has real depth and reads from the side as well as above
• Decorative first: made to be looked at rather than used under a glass, which is why the mushrooms were left standing
• Holds small things: the raised wooden rim takes rings, earrings or a stray key
• One of each: eight designs exist and each one is different, so the one you choose is the only one of it

Materials: Clear resin, real foraged botanicals, natural wood dish, dragonfly or bee charm
Dimensions: 4 inches across, just under half an inch thick (10 mm)
Finish: Clear resin with raised mushrooms, decorative rather than a drinks coaster

This suits anyone who loves the forest floor and wants a small piece of it where they will see it every day, and it makes an easy hostess, teacher or Christmas gift. Set it on a shelf, a windowsill, a desk or a bedside table. Keep it out of direct all day sun, which will fade any preserved botanical over time, and wipe the wood with a dry soft cloth.

Every mushroom, fern and flower is foraged and set by hand, so each dish is its own. The one shown for each design is the one you will receive.

Naturally Brilliant Clarity

Premium Calgary-Made Resin

We use high-performance Nerpa resin, proudly made in Calgary, Alberta. This premium, UV-resistant material cures to a natural, high-gloss finish that mimics the look of solid glass. It ensures your botanicals remain vibrant and crystal clear without the need for artificial polishes.

One-of-a-Kind & Gift-Ready

When you choose a Dragonfly Treasures creation, you are supporting independent Canadian art. Each piece arrives in our signature eco-friendly packaging, ready to be gifted as a one-of-a-kind tribute to the forest. It’s more than decor; it’s a lasting connection to the timeless beauty of the wild.

In Case You Were Wondering..

Yes, absolutely. We never use plastic or silk substitutes. Every piece features genuine botanicals, mosses, and forest treasures hand-foraged from the Alberta Boreal forest, ensuring you are bringing a real piece of the wild into your home.

These pieces look most magical when they catch the light! A windowsill, mantel, or bookshelf is perfect. While our resin is high-quality and UV-resistant, we recommend avoiding 24/7 direct, intense sunlight to keep the natural botanical colors vibrant for as long as possible.

Maintenance is simple. To remove dust or fingerprints and restore that crystal-clear, glass-like glow, simply wipe the surface with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that might dull the polished finish.

Our resin is designed to be sturdy and heat-resistant once fully cured, making it suitable for tea lights or warm mugs. However, to preserve the clarity of the piece, we recommend avoiding contact with open high-heat flames or boiling pots directly from the stove.

We use professional-grade, Calgary-made resin specifically formulated for its high UV resistance. Unlike lower-quality resins that can yellow quickly, our art-grade resin is designed to stay crystal-clear for years. To keep your piece looking its absolute best, we simply recommend keeping it away from windows with constant, intense direct sun—just as you would with a fine painting or photograph.

One of the best features of resin is its incredible durability—it is much stronger and more impact-resistant than glass or ceramic. While it should be treated with the care of any fine art, it isn’t fragile and won't shatter easily if bumped. We take great care in nesting your decor in protective, eco-friendly packaging so it arrives safely and ready to be enjoyed for a lifetime.
