Pansy Meadow Window | Butterfly Window Art

Pansies hold their faces open like they are listening. A whole bed of them is kept here, deep purple and plum and soft lilac, with yellow and white daisies crowded along the bottom of every pane the way they grow at the edge of a garden in August.

Nothing in this butterfly window art was drawn or printed. Every petal was picked, pressed and dried at full colour, then set by hand in clear resin behind four separate panes. A butterfly rests with its wings open in the lower left and a dragonfly has come to settle in the pane diagonally across from it, so the window gives you something different depending on which corner your eye lands in first.

Behind every pane sits a holographic pattern that catches the light and shifts through soft colour as you move past it. It is what keeps the window from reading as a flat picture, and it means the piece never looks quite the same twice.

🦋 An ethically sourced butterfly, wings open in the lower left pane
✨ A dragonfly settled in the pane across from it
🌼 Real pressed pansies, yellow and white daisies, larkspur and wild grasses
🌈 A holographic backing that shifts colour as the light moves
🪟 Four panes in a white distressed wood frame, 16" H x 11" W
💛 One of a kind, the exact window shown is the one that ships

Features:

• A butterfly and a dragonfly: Both ethically sourced and set in opposite panes, so the eye travels the whole window rather than stopping at one corner
• Real pressed botanicals: Pansies and violas, yellow and white daisies, orange blooms, larkspur, baby's breath and wild grasses, all dried at full colour
• Holographic backing: A pattern worked in behind the petals that shifts through soft colour as you move, so this butterfly window art changes with the light through the day
• Four individual pours: Each pane is its own small garden, poured separately in clear resin rather than as one sheet
• Farmhouse frame: Soft white distressed wood, 16" H x 11" W with a half inch depth, so it suits a painted wall without competing with it

Hang this butterfly window art where daylight or a lamp can reach it and the backing does the rest, glowing behind the petals and changing as the light changes. It suits an entryway, a hallway, a bedroom, or any wall that needs a garden in the middle of a Canadian winter, and it makes a lasting gift for gardeners, for anyone marking a new home, or for someone who misses summer by February. Keep it out of direct all day sun to hold the flower colours true, and dust the frame with a soft dry cloth.

This butterfly window art was pressed and poured once and cannot be made again. The butterfly, the dragonfly and every flower in it were set by hand in an arrangement that will not be repeated, so the exact piece in these photographs is the one that will arrive at your door.
