Roses keep their colour longer than almost anything else that grows, which is why they end up in so much of what comes out of this studio. Pressed roses in red, pink and white run right through this rose heart trinket dish, with green botanical accents and real gold leaf caught in the clear resin.

The songbird is what makes it a set rather than a single piece. It is poured on its own, with a whole rose layered through the body and gold leaf across the base, and it rests on the rose heart trinket dish rather than being fixed to it, so it lifts off and sits wherever you like.

Features:

  • Poured as a pair: The roses in the heart and the rose inside the bird came from the same pressing, so the colour carries across both pieces rather than only matching
  • Roses in three shades: Red, pink and white blooms sit at different depths, which gives the heart layers rather than a flat surface
  • A rose inside the bird: A full bloom runs through the body, deepest at the breast and softening toward the head
  • Gold leaf, not paint: Real leaf laid into the base of the bird and scattered through the heart, so it catches light from any angle
  • Made to be used: At six and a half inches across, this rose heart trinket dish holds rings, earrings, a watch or keys rather than only being looked at

A dresser or bedside table suits this set above all, though it works by a kitchen sink or on the table where keys land. Wipe the rose heart trinket dish with a soft dry cloth and keep it out of long direct sun so the roses hold their colour. No water or cleaners on the resin. It makes a gift for an anniversary, a wedding, or anyone who has ever kept a rose from a bouquet.

This set was poured once and cannot be made again. The roses were pressed from one gathering, laid by hand, and set in resin that has already cured, so there is no second version of it and no way to repeat the way the blooms fell. The photographs show the exact heart and the exact bird that will arrive.

Yes, absolutely. We never use plastic or silk substitutes. Every piece features genuine botanicals, mosses, and forest treasures hand-foraged from the Alberta Boreal forest, ensuring you are bringing a real piece of the wild into your home.

These pieces look most magical when they catch the light! A windowsill, mantel, or bookshelf is perfect. While our resin is high-quality and UV-resistant, we recommend avoiding 24/7 direct, intense sunlight to keep the natural botanical colors vibrant for as long as possible.

Maintenance is simple. To remove dust or fingerprints and restore that crystal-clear, glass-like glow, simply wipe the surface with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that might dull the polished finish.

Our resin is designed to be sturdy and heat-resistant once fully cured, making it suitable for tea lights or warm mugs. However, to preserve the clarity of the piece, we recommend avoiding contact with open high-heat flames or boiling pots directly from the stove.

We use professional-grade, Calgary-made resin specifically formulated for its high UV resistance. Unlike lower-quality resins that can yellow quickly, our art-grade resin is designed to stay crystal-clear for years. To keep your piece looking its absolute best, we simply recommend keeping it away from windows with constant, intense direct sun—just as you would with a fine painting or photograph.

One of the best features of resin is its incredible durability—it is much stronger and more impact-resistant than glass or ceramic. While it should be treated with the care of any fine art, it isn’t fragile and won't shatter easily if bumped. We take great care in nesting your decor in protective, eco-friendly packaging so it arrives safely and ready to be enjoyed for a lifetime.
