There are moments in life that ask for something more than words. The Forever Songbird was created for exactly those moments, to give you something tangible, something beautiful, and something that carries the presence of someone you love in a way that feels right to keep close.

This page walks you through the entire process from start to finish so you know exactly what to expect and can feel completely at ease from the moment you place your order.

Step 1 — Place Your Order

Visit the Forever Songbird product page and complete your order including your flower preference, base accent choice, and the name of your loved one if you would like it noted for your records.

Once your order is received you will get a confirmation email from Dragonfly Treasures within one to two business days containing your ash submission instructions and a mailing address.

Step 2 — Sending the Cremated Remains

You will need to send approximately two tablespoons of cremated remains. This is a small amount and leaves the majority of your loved one's ashes with you.

How to package them for mailing:

• Place the ashes in a small sealed zip lock bag
• Wrap the bag in bubble wrap or soft tissue
• Place inside a small rigid box or padded envelope
• Label the outside clearly with your order number and name
• Ship via Canada Post tracked mail for your own peace of mind

Any remains that are not used in the pour will be carefully and respectfully returned to you with your finished bird unless you indicate otherwise at checkout.

Step 3 — The Pour

Once your ashes arrive your Forever Songbird will be scheduled into production. Each bird is hand-poured individually in high-quality clear resin in careful layers.

The cremated remains are gently incorporated into the base of the bird during the pour, settled naturally beneath a layer of real botanicals. Forget me nots are the default flower, chosen for their meaning of love, loyalty and cherished memory.

If you requested an alternative flower at checkout every effort will be made to honour that request based on what is available at time of pour.

The base is then finished with your chosen accent, silver leaf, gold leaf, or soft glitter, adding a gentle shimmer that honours what rests beneath.

Because every pour is done by hand and every set of ashes settles differently, your Forever Songbird will be completely one of a kind. No two are ever exactly alike.

Step 4 — Turnaround Time

Please allow two to three weeks from the date your ashes are received for your Forever Songbird to be completed. This allows time for each careful layer to cure properly and for the finishing details to be applied with the attention they deserve.

If you have a specific date you are hoping to receive your bird by, such as an anniversary or a gathering, please mention this at checkout and every effort will be made to accommodate your timeline.

Step 5 — Packaging and Shipping

Your Forever Songbird will be carefully wrapped and nestled in protective packaging designed to keep it safe on its journey to you. It ships via Canada Post tracked and insured mail so you can follow its progress every step of the way.
